Information:
Creel
was established as a railroad station in 1907, this village
has a population of approximately 6500 people, it served
as commercial center for a large but remote area. Forest
and tourism are important activities. At more than 7,700
feet (2836m), Creel is the center of the tarahumara homeland.
Creel was named after Enrique C. Creel, a distinguished
mexican businessman diplomat, and a public officer, served
as governor of Chihuahua during a periods 1904-06 and
1907-11, as Mexico´s minister of foreign relations,
as Mexico´s ambassador in Washington, D.C. and vice
president of the Kansas city Mexico and orient rail road.
He was responsible for the western construction of Chihuahua´s
city railroad.

Creel is a charming small town with beautiful cool weather
located southwest of Chihuahua and it's surrounded by
